Why does AMG use airless pumps and glass bottles?

No air means no mold and no bacteria.

airless pumps

No plastic means no BPA (bisphenol A), a known endocrine disruptor linked to breast cancer, reproductive disorders, developmental problems and heart disease.

For extra precaution, AMG uses an all natural, chemical free, proprietary, preservative system.

AMG's chemical free preservative system combined with modern airless pump technology, allows AMG Naturally to deliver all of its natural goodness - naturally green, and naturally clean.

Airless pumps push the lotion up from the bottom of the bottle, not the top. When the product is pumped, a piston at the bottom pushes the contents upward keeping the container completely airless.

If you need to put your fingers into your lotion container, this introduces bacteria. Products that do not use airless pump containers likely use synthetic, chemical preservatives to prevent bacteria from growing within.

Common chemical preservatives include methyl (ethyl, or propyl) paraben, or DEHP (diethylhexyl phthalate) or its sister phthalates. Like BPA, parabens and phthalates are endocrine disrupters connected to serious health conditions including cancer and birth defects. It's no surprise these are banned in Europe and Japan due to proven hormonal toxicity.

If product does not quickly come out of the bottle after a few pumps, we assure you it is not due to cheap bottles or poor quality control. The first time using AMG Naturally products such as Daily Moisturizer or Under Eye Serum, for example, it may need to be pumped many times.

If lotion does not come out after 8 pumps follow these recommendations:

  1. Turn bottle upside down and tap the top on a hard surface several times.
  2. Take cap off and pump while it is upside down.
  3. Turn right side up and pump until product comes out.
